Project Sunshine for Japan: 25th – 31st oct 2012 – Exhibition at Osaka

The 100 posters exhibition will take place at “ATC-ITM” from October 25th to 31st, 2012 in Osaka.

Project Sunshine for Japanは、美術愛好家のグループによってドイツ、デュッセルドルフで企画された国際ポスター展です。
この展覧会の目標は、東日本大震災の余波から回復できるように、被災地に支援の手を提供することです。
FaceBook上で世界から応募された作品から100点の入選作と審査員および招待作家のポスターを展示します。
関西からも入選作家4名と審査員および招待作家が参加しています。
なお、会場で販売するTシャツの売り上げの収益の全額は募金に充てられます。

»Project Sunshine for Japan« is a fundraising initiative organized by a group of artists and designers to provide aid to help Japan recover from last spring’s earthquake and resulting tsunami disaster. The 100 Posters has been selected by our international Jury among 589 submissions from more than 384 graphic designers from 40 nations. The 100 posters were selected from 25 countries.

„Project Sunshine for Japan“ 2012 – Designposter für Fukushima

Nach der erfolgreichen Ausstellungseröffnung der internationalen Poster Ausstellung an der Fachhochschule Düsseldorf bedankt sich das Sunshine for Japan Project Team bei all ihren Unterstützerorganisationen und Leuten, die sich mit eingebracht und unterstützt haben. Auch die Auktion kann als relativ profitabel bezeichnet werden. Auch bei der nächsten Ausstellung, die bald in Dortmund stattfinden wird (sehr wahrscheinlich im März, Infos dazu folgen!) wird hoffentlich wieder ein Erlös erzielt der dem Deutschen Roten Kreuz zukommen wird um Aufbauarbeiten in Japan nach der Dreifachkatastrophe im letzten Frühjahr weiter zu unterstützen. Die Jury wählte aus 589 Einreichungen von mehr als 384 Grafikdesignern aus 40 Nationen 100 Poster aus. Der Ausstellungsabend war interessant, die Arbeiten vielfältig und trotz des schlechten Wetters und des Alternativangebots an ersten Weihnachtsmärkten recht gut besucht. Zwei der Designer kamen sogar von ganz weit angereist, aus Japan und Neuseeland!

Die Motive auf den Postern stellen den Umgang mit einer dieser Dreifach-Katastrophe dar und sollen die Ereignisse in Japan in das kulturelle Gedächtnis der Gesellschaft tragen.

After a successful opening of the International Poster exhibition at the University of Applied Science Düsseldorf, we still would like to thank once again all our supporting organizations and people who have taken part in our project for their kind support and cooperation. Also, the Auction of Exhibits can be described as relatively profitable. The auction will continuing during the next exhibition in Dortmund very soon that we hopefully end up with a significant amount to the German Red Cross to provide aid to help Japan recover from last Spring’s triple disaster.

We would like to thank our organization team and all the people who have helped us to make this Project a success.
